Muller Martini launches VSOP printing press |
|
Muller Martini has acquired patents for the VSOP series from Drent Goebel. A new Muller Martini VSOP series offering flexible package and cardboard printing will be launched by the end of 2009. Muller Martini CEO Bruno Müller sees the acquisition of the VSOP patents and the launch of the VSOP (Variable Sleeve Offset Press) printing press as an important step toward strengthening the market position of Muller Martini and enhancing its printing press range. “We are investing in solutions that will provide our customers with new business models for flexible and cardboard-box packaging that will guarantee success in a market with growth potential. We are convinced that we can also play a leading role in package printing. Our customers should be able to get involved in these non-stop advancements in technology.” By combining the new VSOP series with its existing Alprinta and Concepta product lines, Muller Martini is presenting itself to customers as a partner with a range of systems, offering advice on the manufacture of packaging and commercial printing products. Yves Rogivue, corporate management representative at Muller Martini, head of the printingpress product: “The current situation of Drent Goebel complicates the know how transfer and the activation of spare parts. We will do our utmost to build up service and spare part expertise in our globally spread sales and service network until the end of the year - in order to maintain high levels of uptime for the printing presses installed, both now and in the future.” www.cmykdigest.com
